Dogs are Aristotelians

From the NY Times:

Dogs, it seems, are Aristotelians, but with their own doggy teleology. Their goals are not only radically different from ours; they are often invisible to us. To get a better view, Horowitz proposes that we humans get down intellectually on all fours and start sniffing.

  I am Dr. Pamela Hood. I'm an associate professor of Philosophy at San Francisco State University.

  My research field is Ancient Greek philosophy. My focus is on Aristotle, especially study on the intersection of language, metaphysics and epistemology in the conceptual problems Aristotle identifies in the Categories as well as those this intriguing text has created.
