Aida at the Met – Part 2
Posted by profpam in Columns and Notes on February 1, 2010
As a whole, the broadcast of Aida from the Met was splendid. It was a Great Performances Met broadcast on KQED (Bay Area). It’s being rebroadcast the next few days so please do catch it.
I still stand by my assessment of the beginning of the opera. I don’t think it was Verdi’s fault, but one should never assume that the composer (or librettist) is not at fault. The audience was loving it as was clear by the standing O’s everyone got. Glad I caught it.

Not that “home”. But I am no longer posting to the Twinklefingers Tumblr site. ‘Fingers just want to have more flexibility. The next chore is figuring out how to transfer that posts over here. Perhaps I’ll just leave them over there. That might be easiest.
So “Hello World!”
